New recommended projector
for sewing
Until I recently I could not find one that met our needs for affordability, large image size at reasonable distances above cutting table, light weight, and decent image quality, which doesn’t require setting adjustments to solve aspect ratio distortion.
Thankfully now, there is finally available a projector model that meets all these needs, and is available in many countries.
A short history of
the projector sewing movement
Projector sewing has become a social movement, as collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovating are core values that propel the technology to become mainstream, and quickly becoming the most popular way to cut sewing patterns. This post highlights major milestones that helped projector sewing became so popular in such a short time.
Inkscape is not that hard to learn, and it makes projector sewing so much easier
With Inkscape, no longer have to worry about zoom changing with full screen mode, or with software updates changing our calibration zoom, we will no longer “run out of scrolling room” and we can easily move pieces where we need them, we can quickly turn on an off dozens of layers at once, without tediously clicking each one, we can now instantly improve visibility of lines, and many other features all in one free program.
